Why Come?
Meet your neighbors. Volunteering is easier and more fun with people you actually like.
Make something real happen. Every hour you give helps stock our shelves, which funds Saint Anne Hope Ministries' community outreach.
Start small. No experience, no sign-up marathon. Drop in anytime between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm.
What to Expect
You walk in, we hand you a hot drink, and a team member shows you around. If you like what you see, we will match you with a volunteer role that fits your schedule. If not, you leave with a good cup of coffee and a new view of your favorite Lake Zurich resale store.
Your Help is Felt Right Here in our Barrington-Area Community
Every donated coat, every sorted bin and every friendly hello at the register becomes support for families in our own Barrington-area community. Your time stays local and you can see where your volunteer hours go.
FAQ
Do I need experience? No. We train on the spot.
Can I bring a friend or my family? Yes, of course! Bring them, the more the merrier! 😊 Just RSVP for your group so we know how much coffee order.
How long do I need to stay? Stay for 20 minutes or the whole 3 hours, your choice.
Is it free? Yes, coffee is on us!
What if I can only help once? A single shift is more than welcome and appreciated!
Looking to Become a Regular Volunteer?
Looking for an ongoing way to give back and volunteer in Lake Zurich? House of Hope Resale relies on a team of over 200 regular volunteers to help keep our thrift store running, from sorting donations to prepping items for the sales floor.
Ways to help on a regular basis:
Donation sorting (clothing, housewares, books, toys, furniture, etc.)
Pricing & tagging merchandise
Sales floor organizing and restocking
Customer service
Volunteers can commit to a weekly, biweekly, or monthly shift, whatever fits your schedule. No experience is necessary and all proceeds support House of Hope's mission to help neighbors facing food insecurity, housing instability, and utility crises.
What our Volunteers are Saying…
“Volunteers definitely develop a sense of community as we work together. I believe hope is created anytime organizations like House of Hope can provide for the needs of those in the community that need help.”
