Volunteer Event in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Volunteer Coffee Meet & Greet

Whether you’ve been volunteering with us for years or you’re just thinking about getting involved, this one’s for you! 😊

Stop by for a ☕️ cup of coffee and meet the people who make House of Hope Resale run. We’ll have drinks and light bites, a chance to chat with the team and plenty of time to ask questions about how volunteering works.

Every donation sorted, every shelf stocked and every customer greeted helps fund Saint Anne Hope Ministries’ community outreach programs here in Lake Zurich. This is our way of saying thank you & of welcoming new faces.

What to expect:

  • Free coffee and treats

  • A relaxed meet and greet (no commitment!)

  • Time to connect with staff and other volunteers

  • Info on current volunteer opportunities

Looking to Become a Regular Volunteer?

Looking for an ongoing way to give back and volunteer in Lake Zurich? House of Hope Resale relies on a team of over 200 regular volunteers to help keep our thrift store running, from sorting donations to prepping items for the sales floor.

Ways to help on a regular basis:

  • Donation sorting (clothing, housewares, books, toys, furniture, etc.)

  • Pricing & tagging merchandise

  • Sales floor organizing and restocking

  • Customer service

Volunteers can commit to a weekly, biweekly, or monthly shift, whatever fits your schedule. No experience is necessary and all proceeds support House of Hope's mission to help neighbors facing food insecurity, housing instability, and utility crises.

What our Volunteers are Saying…

“Volunteers definitely develop a sense of community as we work together. I believe hope is created anytime organizations like House of Hope can provide for the needs of those in the community that need help.”
— Paul Downey, volunteer of 10+ years
