It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at House of Hope Resale! 🎄
The holiday season is officially underway at our Lake Zurich thrift store, and our shelves are filling up with Christmas decorations, festive home decor, vintage holiday treasures, and one-of-a-kind secondhand finds.
Whether you're decorating your home for the holidays, searching for nostalgic Christmas ornaments, or embracing the growing trend of Thriftmas, there's no better time to explore what our resale shop has to offer.
And the best part? Every purchase helps support local families in need.
Discover Christmas Decor and Holiday Treasures at Our Resale Store
One of the most exciting things about shopping secondhand for Christmas decorations is that you never know what you'll discover!
Unlike traditional retail stores, where you'll often find the same mass-produced decorations year after year, our nonprofit resale store offers an ever-changing selection of donated holiday items.
Depending on what's been donated, shoppers may discover:
🎄 Christmas tree ornaments and festive decorations
✨ Vintage and collectible Christmas decor
🎅 Santa figurines, snowmen, and holiday collectibles
🏠 Christmas village houses and seasonal displays
🕯️ Holiday centerpieces and tabletop decorations
🎁 Festive serving dishes and holiday entertaining essentials
🌲 Wreaths, garlands, and seasonal home accents
❄️ Unique Christmas decorations you won't find in every store
Because our inventory is entirely donated, every shopping trip offers something different. Once a special holiday treasure is gone, it may not come back!
Celebrate Thriftmas: A More Sustainable Way to Decorate for Christmas
Have you heard of Thriftmas?
Thriftmas is all about embracing secondhand shopping during the holiday season, whether you're hunting for vintage Christmas decorations, shopping for meaningful gifts, or creating a festive home without buying everything new.
Shopping at a thrift store or resale shop is a wonderful way to participate in this holiday tradition.
Why we love Thriftmas:
1. Find one-of-a-kind Christmas decorations. Vintage ornaments, nostalgic holiday collectibles, and unique seasonal pieces add character and personality to your home.
2. Decorate for less. Shopping secondhand can help you stretch your holiday decorating budget while discovering quality pieces at resale prices.
3. Shop more sustainably. Choosing gently used Christmas decor helps extend the life of beautiful decorations and keeps usable items out of landfills.
4. Give back while you shop. At House of Hope Resale, your holiday purchases help fund essential assistance for local families experiencing financial hardship.
It's a simple way to make your holiday shopping a little more meaningful.
